Pregnenolone (PG) is produced in your adrenal glands, and is the direct precursor to both DHEA and progesterone. PG is the grandmother of all other steroid hormones in the body. PG levels drop significantly after age 30 so that by the time a person is age 75, PG levels will have decreased to 60% of what they were at age 35. Mood, mental function, and energy are adversely affected by low levels of PG.†
In the body, PG can convert to DHEA and/or progesterone and is important for peak brain function. PG supports focus and concentration, memory, and fatigue. PG can be taken with DHEA.†
CAUTION: NOT appropriate for children or if you are pregnant or nursing or have autoimmune disease.
